It may be a few hours early but I feel like it’s already Sunday. We went to Mass tonight so that makes it seem like Sunday even more. I’ll always be part of the Church family in the place that was our parish for 33 years but I also like my new parish a lot. You can’t ask for more than 2 really good options. All the mothers received a special blessing and a little prayer book: A Mother’s Prayerbook. A perfect start to Mother’s Day.
On this Mother’s Day Eve I’ve been doing a lot of cooking to prepare for our brunch tomorrow at the kids’ house.
I included links for the carrot bread and candied bacon in case anyone is interested in making those. Who knew candied bacon was a thing? I didn’t until my daughter requested it for brunch. (P.S. Don’t use thick cut bacon. It’ll take 200 hours to cook.)
My son in-law’s mother will be making a frittata and there will be mimosas. All that delicious food and the company of the two most adorable little boys in the world – life doesn’t get much better than that.
Wishing all you mothers out there a wonderful Mother’s Day. May you be surrounded by loved ones and treated like a queen!
