Last night after dinner, we were out walking: my daughter, myself, and my grandson in his stroller. My husband and son in-law, a few steps behind us. As we walked by a woman sitting on a bench, she asked us, “Do you have a baby in there?”
When my daughter confirmed that yes, there was, the woman got up to admire him. There were the usual questions. “How old is he?” And the usual advice, “Enjoy him. They grow up quickly.”
As we walked off, my daughter asked, “What else would I have in a stroller?” A dozen steps further down the street, she had her answer.
Yep, a woman walked by pushing a stroller with a dog in it. My husband reminded me, “Don’t you remember the pet supply store in the Teopicana and that they sold strollers for dogs?” Indeed, they do.
If I had a dog that couldn’t walk and needed a stroller, sorry but I’d leave him home. And I have a question about the whole dog in the stroller thing: What happens when they relieve themselves in the stroller?
