Being back in the writing groove makes me feel mighty. As in mighty good (or maybe Mighty Mouse). I’ve said, “Hello there, my old friends,” to the characters I created but then abandoned when life got in the way. They didn’t chide me for neglecting them. We just took up right where we left off.
When the words are flowing, it feels like I can accomplish anything, like maybe actually finishing this novel.
It’s been a busy few weeks. So much was kicked to the basement while I was babysitting the little one. I loved every minute with my grandson but it was also a very long couple of months for someone with 60 bearing down on her, who isn’t used to being put into service before the first coffee of the day.
Now all that stuff that was put aside needs to get done: the paperwork, the coding and programming, the cleaning… Things are being cleared off my To-Do list but then I got back to blogging after a long absence and added one more thing to that list: write. Finish that novel. I don’t care if I never write another one but I will finish this one. I’m already 1/5 of the way there!
