Or, at least my mistakes have. If you blog, your mistakes live on forever. It works like this: Let’s say I write a blog post and then click the cute little “Publish” button before I have proofread what I wrote. (What can I say? Sometimes I’m lazy.) Anything I just wrote and published is immediately emailed to subscribers and sent to RSS feeds. Even if I make corrections second later, it doesn’t matter.
Normally this wouldn’t be a big deal. If people think I can’t spell and my grammar is atrocious, oh, well. That’s how it goes. The bigger issue is when I post a recipe with a mistake. My Vodka-less Penne ala Vodka recipe had a mistake that DF caught. No big deal if someone comes to my blog page to read it. Bigger deal if they got it off email or the RSS feed because that version still has the error. Worse, if they try to cook it according to the wrong recipe, it will be horrible. They will then think I am a terrible cook and never read my blog again. What a sad thing that would be! ?
