I loathe bugs. Sure they’re considered food in some places of the world. I watch that show on TV where they eat all kinds of weird (& often disgusting) “food” items. I know what you are going to say. “If you were starving, you’d eat bugs.” Not true. I would instantly become a vegetarian.
Now that I have clarified that point, we can move on to today’s catastrophe. Our dishwasher died. That’s not the catastrophe. It had been dying for a long time and doing two loads of bottles a day pushed it over the edge. Knowing that fact about the dishwasher is relevant to this sad tale. You see, I have been washing bottles by hand. (Nope. Not the catastrophe yet, although that’s a close second – having to hand wash everything.)
This is where all the clean bottle paraphernalia goes:
This afternoon, my daughter saw an ant crawling on it. This necessitated rewashing every single item. It also meant cleaning the rack, looking to see if Mr. Ant had any siblings or other relatives around, and making sure the area near the bottle rack was disinfected.
I cannot wait until Friday the 13th! That is when my new dishwasher arrives. No more dishpan hands for the weekend!
