Happy first day of May! Here in NY, it’s raining. (What happened to April being the rainy month? Someone must have missed the memo that April is over.) It is also about 30 degrees out. Okay, that’s a lie. It’s actually in the 40s but it feels way colder. (Again, clearly someone missed the memo.)
I think that background should be gray rather than blue unless it represents mood, due to the weather.
There will be no dancing around the maypole in this neighborhood with this nasty weather! Come to think of it, I don’t recall ever personally seeing anyone dance around a maypole. Yet I have this snapshot in my head: a white pole, looking similar to a flagpole. There’s a white globe sitting at the top of the pole. Dozens of brightly colored ribbons flutter down. There are smiling people near the maypole. They each hold a ribbon and dance around the maypole.
The question: If I never saw such a thing, where did this image come from? TV? A movie? Or just from some twisted corner in the maze of my imagination?
