I’m not quite sure how it’s possible to run in circles while sitting, but there it is. That feels like what I’ve been doing today.
I’m involved in a new project (which will be announced at a later date). As the last phase of this project, I needed to do a couple of things which required calls to tech support. 2 different tech support companies.
The good news is they spoke English. Non-accented English. It was such a refreshing change that I was so hopeful they would resolve my issues within seconds. Alas, that was not to happen. Each insisted that they had no idea what I was talking about and that I must need to contact the other support company.
Ah, yes. That makes sense. Company A is telling me that Company B needs to handle it and Company B is telling me Company A is the one. Quite helpful, don’t you think?
And do you want to know where I found my answers? On the website of a company that does the same thing as Company A, making me wish I had used them instead. There, they had step by step directions of what I needed to do.
Now I ask you – what the heck kind of company has no documentation whatsoever? Oh, no. You are just supposed to instantly know what to do even if you have never done it before! This does not bode well at all, does it?
End of rant.
In other news, I think the time is very rapidly approaching that I will need to make a decision about the old, lumpy dog. To be honest, making the decision isn’t the hard part. The poor dog is in pain so it’s pretty clear what needs to be done, & as soon as possible. The hard part is going to be telling my daughter & wondering if this can be delayed a couple of days, carrying us into the weekend.
