I sure wish darling daughter had some spare time on her hands because I know exactly what she could give me for Christmas. But alas, with finals coming up, who has time to paint?

Whoa, that’s cool. And especially since I just taught my students all about Pompeii.
The New York trip is scheduled/planned/paid for. I’m coming in Friday and leaving Monday. The husband is interviewing Monday, so I’ll be free virtually that whole day, should you find yourself in New York City with nothing to do.

Ohmygosh! That’s gorgeous. Monkling, there’s no need to be able to paint when you have such a great eye for images. The medium isn’t that important. Clearly what you can make is beautiful.
