First off, I must proclaim – I did it! I have fulfilled the family tradition! No, this has nothing to do with artichokes. It has to do with a story I was telling about my mother always burning herself on every single holiday. Yes, I have burned the inside of my left wrist. Better than the right, eh? I’m using these big, disposable aluminum roasting pans for my turkeys. (Yes, you read that right – ‘turkeys.’ Plural) These pans have this little rack thingie so you can lift it. I accidentally hit my arm on that. Well it was sticking up and I’m not used to something sticking up in that particular place.
Second, just want to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving! Ah – one of the things I’m thankful for, right here – the Internet. Wouldn’t have met so many wonderful people if not for that. Nope. I’d be a hermit living in my little enclosed world, locked away from all human contact…
Traditions passed down through the generations are usually a good thing, but this is ridiculous, Monk
! About those artichokes…
Happy Thanksgiving, Monk! Did Janet feel well enough to come? And what did Steve do for T-Day in Rome?

The best parts of yesterday were – Janet being here and everyone getting to see & talk to Steve, even though we couldn’t hear him too well.
Glad your holiday went well. So, what is your plan for Christmas? Do you have any family traditions like breaking a bone or an aneurysm?
