Lucy, I’m Home!

I’m betting Ricky never heard Lucy greet him this way when he came home from work. This is what Frank heard last night:

“Hi, Honey! Guess what – I started a fire in the kitchen and I did it on purpose. It was fun! I’ll have to do it again so you can watch.”

I was using a recipe called Bourbon Chicken. It involved pouring some bourbon into the pan with the chicken and lighting it up. I think I only did that once before, years and years ago, when I made Bananas Foster. I must have a bit of pyro in me because I really enjoyed the whole process. Unfortunately I was too busy manning the flames and making sure nothing else caught on fire so I couldn’t get a photo.

I’m off in a bit to meet up with Ms. Hummingbird and Mr. Imponderables for dinner. I’m picturing Mojitos in my future this evening. I wonder if the restaurant has any dinners that require fire…

Oh num, I love Bourbon Chicken. If you were able to flame it and not have the rest of the kitchen on fire, then you’re an even bigger rock star than I originally thought  ! I’ve never had a mojito; they sure look good, though. Have fun tonight!

    What? No recipe?

And poor Kim! Maybe we should all get together and introduce her to the goodness known as a mojito! mmmmm!

The whole internet satellite sounds easy, but in our area the satellite system we use doesn’t have internet. We can add it, and they will send another company in to put it in…..for 399.00 set up fee and 79.00 a month. Mybrother has the same system I do in Indiana and his is under 20.00 a month…for the same thing. The difference is there are about 10 ways to get fast internet there and only one way to get it here.

I sure hope you toasted absent friends and drank a mojito in her honor

No Mojitos this time around because Dave played BYOB. (It was an experiment in drink mixing.) But it just didn’t seem right being in Kurio’s without you. And I didn’t get yelled at by Gloria yesterday, either, but the Games Gang has never been the same since you left. At least to me.

Ah, Monk, that’s one of the bummers of my move. Leaving behind some of my favorite people (and really fun times).

We had some really good times!
