Is Something Burning?

I decided yesterday that it was time to do something about that Christmas ornament I’ve been wearing on my lip so I went off to the doctor. He took one look at it and said, “What the heck is that? I’ve never seen anything like that before!” Then he yelled over to his medical assistant/wife saying, “You have to come see this.”

The end result was, he did not want me waiting a week to see a dermatologist and magically got me squeezed in that same day. Luckily, the dermatologist did not recoil in horror at the tennis ball shaped thing on my lip. She sliced the thing off and cauterized it.

Now there was an interesting experience! I never had anything like that done before. She should have warned me. “That burning smell is going to be you.”

Ew, ew ew. They don’t tell you it’s your eyeballs burning during LASIK either. I hope your lip ornament is just a Christmas remnant.

You could have painted it red and left it until Valentines day.
I bet that burnt smell was pretty strong right under your nose.

Okay, that really diminishes my desire for LASIK, although my eyes are so bad, who knows if they’d even be able to do it, anyway. It really smells like that? Ah, just another case of ignorance being bliss.
