I Am Cold-Hearted

Seriously – I am a cold hearted person. That’s not a put down, it’s the simple truth. You see, my normal temperature is a full degree below what’s considered normal.

What started this train of thought is that Theresa was running a fever last night. I cannot understand how the girl can have a fever and be wide awake. She was always like that, ever since she was little. Most kids sleep when they’re sick. Not her. That got me to thinking that even with what would be considered a low grade fever, I’m knocked out.

Then I decided that, because my normal temperature is lower, that means that if I hit 99, that’s like 100 to everyone else. Hey, logically it makes sense to me.

And that ends today’s completely random blog entry. It doesn’t get more random than that.

Me too. I get to use the defensive phrase ‘cold hand, warm heart’ a lot. Though I prefer ‘cold hands, good pastry.’

I understand completely. My normal temp is 97.6 or lower, so 100 to me is a high fever. You can’t get a doctor to believe you on that though, they just think you’re a weenie.

I’m cold-hearted too. Now that we’ve commiserated, go see what you’ve been tagged for. See that transition? Smooth like buttah.

My DD can have something horrible going on like…ummm strep, ear infection, mono and a tummy virus and her temp will still be 97…always throws her doctors for a loop.
