Once the kids go back to school, this blog is going to turn so boring. I will probably have to stand outside and hire kids to come in here to entertain me and even if I did find some substitute kids, I doubt any of them could match the sort of stuff my own kids do.
Steve decided to play with the dog:

Both kids found the bird on a string to be extremely funny. The dog, however, was not amused. At one point, he ignored the bird, came over to me and barked. I swear he was saying to me, “Mommy, make them stop!”

I told Nicky, “Hey, if they can tease me all the time, what makes you think you should escape it?”
Ya know, Monkling, I’m ALWAYS glad to get your comments–ALWAYS. I think you are funny, thoughtful, nice, and honest. I love your type of humor, and I also always appreciate a person who tells it like it is. So, please, don’t ever NOT comment just cause ya think ya shouldn’t. Cause I think ya SHOULD. There. And you have really cute kids, including the one with fur. I want your daughter’s hair. I was gonna be especially witty with a comment on your Batter Up entry, but I just couldn’t find the right words….
But enough about you and back to me….HAHAHAHA
Yeah, I know–Bill was my very best friend and the one I told everything to and talked to about anything and everything; serious, he was the BEST person to talk to. Hell, he was the BEST friend ever. Damm him for leaving me; I think the only one sorrier than me about it was him. And I always wanted the sister that I never got. I’m STILL running around asking various and sundry people to be my sister. Nobody’s responded in the affirmative yet. So, I have to go and search out somebody to spew to. Because I have a bucket mouth, and many profound thoughts and ideas that must be shared. Ummm….yeah. In all seriousness, what it really is, is that I would be so freakin’ lonely I couldn’t stand it if there wasn’t SOMEONE I could talk to about the deep stuff. Pathetic, I know, but it could always be worse…right? Right? RIGHT?

Gee, how did you get to know me so well, so quickly??
I want your daughter’s hair.
You should see it when she has it down. One of these days I need to post a decent photo of the kids.
Dogs have a way of telling you things without a word. Sometimes mine looks at me like I’m a total idiot and I spend hours trying to figure out what I did.
My 22nd Anniversary is August 17th. I can not believe I have been married 22 years, and me being 30 years old and all
I was at Wal ma*t today and they had a box set of 5 DVD’s of Garth Brooks on clearance for $2.50. I couldn’t pass them up because I am nothing if not a cheapskate. The bad thing is I have been watching them and whining like a baby at his songs “the Dance” and “the change” which is one I have never heard before. I’m going to go load the dishwasher…..
Gee, how did you get to know me so well, so quickly??
Why, because it takes one to know one, of course!
I obviously don’t know what I’m doing with the “quote” thing but, hey, I tried !
I love pix of the kids–all people’s kids–especially Katy’s DD with her cute little face and teenage bod, and your DD with that gorgeous hair; I can just imagine how it looks down. I hope she’s wise enough to appreciate it! Come to think about it, Steve also was smiled upon by the good-hair fairy–I remember that picture that you posted of him when he was little.
Okay, enough on the hair envy.
I went to AOL and realized that the screen name I had years ago I gave to my daughter so I made another one katysmyers1966. I tried about 50 other names and they were all taken so I ended up with that one.
My AIM says at 10:40 that monkling is offline. I can’t remember how to use this right so I hope I did it right. Now we just wait on Kim. If we can get her on here maybe we can get her to buy a camera.
