House Shopping?

If anyone is looking for a nice little house on Long Island, I found the perfect starter house for you: Little House on the Island.

It’s a brand new house. Make sure you click the button that says “Additional Photos” and look at the rooms. Then, after you have looked at it, please explain to me why on earth someone would have built a house like that. I don’t get it. I could see if this was in the Hamptons or Sands Point but Medford is by no means an exclusive neighborhood.

If any of you decide to buy this, please invite me over.

Ya know what? I really do not understand the whole “mansion” concept. Why on earth would anyone need that big of a house, no matter where it is. Okay, if you have 21 kids; yes, you could use that big of a house. But, otherwise I just don’t get it. All I see when I look at that is how much cleaning it would take; of course, anyone who would buy that isn’t concerned with cleaning, but still….More power to anyone who has the means to buy it, but it just seems a little excessive. And now I’ll step down off my judgmental little soapbox.

  2. Okay. Consider yourself invited.

Well, okay then, can I be invited, too? Maybe if anyone actually invited me to their mansion, I would understand why people want them!

And if I can’t get invited to the mansion, can I come to your house, Monk? It sounds like you guys have a pretty darn good time there!

No, I am not above begging to be invited to places/things. Maybe that is why I don’t have many friends and why the ones I do have are “iffy”–

Where I live that much money would buy you an entire town. I was going to click the calculate mortgage button just for the laughs it would bring but thought I had better wait until later, my head already hurts.
10,000 square feet. I am too realistic, the only thing I can think of is how much work it would be to clean, like I would actually clean if I could afford that.
