It’s A Boy

At this time, 22 years ago, I was drugged up on morphine after an emergency c-section only I had no idea they had given me that. I guess that would explain why it was difficult for me to talk without slurring when I was calling people to tell them Stephen was born. You’d think between being in labor for over 24 hours and the drugs, I’d have been knocked out but I guess the excitement beat out the exhaustion.

This is Steve on his first day of nursery school:

Ah, the good old days when I was bigger and stronger than him! Seriously, I do know how blessed I am to have a good relationship with both my children & they really are good kids. We have a lot of fun.

Hmmm…. that reminds me. I guess I better go get into the hot car and at least have a birthday cake here for him when he gets home from work. I’d make one except there’s no way that oven is getting turned on with no A/C.

Tomorrow I will post the story of, “What Does This Button Do?”

Steve was so cute. What happened?

Awww…what a handsome little boy–gorgeous head of hair! WAY worth the many agonizing hours of labor followed by the emergency c-section, huh? Again, HAPPY, HAPPY BIRTHDAY STEVE!!!!

Happy Birthday! Reminds me of my own birth story. Twenty two hours of hard labor and my sons heart rate dropped to almost nothing. Doctors and nurses flipping me on my side and running to the OR. They tried to pull him with forceps but couldn’t and then an emergency c-section and a happy healthy son (mine will be 19 in a couple of weeks.)
Superhubby is now 100% sure I have lost my mind. We were working at one of his little old ladies houses Monday and I told him I wanted to go home and check on Kim and Monkling. He asked me who that was and I was trying to explain that you guys were kind of friends that I really didn’t know. Needless to say I think he thinks I have invisible friends or am hearing voices in my head.

I will pass along the birthday greetings to the boy, if I see him today. That’s questionable.

Dave, I keep asking Steve the very same thing.

Katy, my husband has met so many of my online friends over the past 14 years that he’s used to it, although back in the beginning, he probably felt the same as yours.

Uh, oh. It’s thundering out again. Time to shut down the computer.

I’m not a shopper either. I drive my daughter crazy because I am ready to leave as soon as we get there. I did get DD 3 pairs of jeans for school this year for $25.00. I do love a bargain.
