I installed a new plugin. It allows you (any of you, not just Peg) to edit your comments. But – you need to be registered and logged in, which really isn’t a big deal. It’s not like I have nothing better to do than look at anyone’s email address and make up spam. Although I probably could write some real interesting spam email if I set my mind to it. Admittedly, I don’t have much of a life but I do have a tiny one so I don’t think it’s likely that I’ll spend any time writing any spam.
One thing, though. I’m not sure if maybe it’s just the server being slow today or if the plugin is causing a problem but when I played around with it, it took forever to post a comment. Also it was acting perfectly fine in Firefox but a bit weird in Internet Explorer but I hardly ever use Explorer so I may just have some weird setting on there that screws it up.
So, if it seems to be causing problems, I may need to remove it. Nobody wants to wait 10 minutes for the stupid blog to post a comment. Meantime, consider this an experiment.
Woo Hooo! I wore her down with all my whining!
I was already registered, so that part was easy. Now let’s see if I’m about to edit this after submitting.
****
ALRIGHT! My comment posted immediately and it only took about 20 seconds for this note to prepare to be edited after I clicked on it….THANKS, Monkling!
And you’ll be happy to know that if I’m using the edit functions that I CANNOT post as THE VOICES or a MONKLING IMPERSONATOR, I don’t think….maybe I can……
Heh. And apparently I can now edit your posts, delete them or mark them as spam without going into the admin panel.
See! I saved you a few steps. You could do all of that anyhow and now it’s just easier! Like you’re really going to erase any comments and run all of your readers off! HA!
And no, I can’t change my name to THE VOICES while I’m signed in and editing notes. I’ll have to do those on uneditable comments.
I’m not so sure I like the ability to edit. Now I’ve lost all excuses for incoherent posts.
That’s okay, Dave, we’ll pretend you are not registered.
I guess I can change my name if I do it when I first post the note.
Hey, something else weird, Monkling. I noticed my name was in blue and I clicked on it and it took me to my MySpace web page. I thought clicking one it was supposed to allow me to edit the note.
I guess when I registered and typed in my webpage it linked it to my name.
DAVE! You still have your excuse! The edit capability is only good for two hours once you post your note! Once time runs out you can’t redo it!

Yeah, if you put in a webpage, your name becomes a link to that page.
