Snow and Chocolate

Someone forgot to inform the weatherman that it was Easter yesterday and not Christmas. We all gathered for Easter at Dad & Angela’s apartment which (I think) is on the top floor – 15th. Suddenly someone points out the window and says, “It’s snowing!” Now this was not just a couple of flurries gently floating down. For one thing, the flakes weren’t falling. It was snowing up. There was also quite a lot of it.

I should have made a run for my camera to capture it snowing upwards but I was too transfixed to the window in amazement, along with the rest of the family. Not being totally stupid, I did realize this had something to do with the wind and the height we were at but it was the damn weirdest thing I’ve ever seen.

The black elbow brace I wore blended in quite well with my pink shirt. I did help out a bit with carrying dishes to and from the kitchen, pointing how how helpful I was, even though I was injured. This was pointed out several times in case anyone missed it the first time around. “Look, I’m carrying stuff but since I’m handicapped, I can only use my left hand.”

Our day involved a lot of chocolate. There were chocolate kisses all over the place, chocolate bunnies and, of course, the chocolate cake I made for my nephew. My sister said I was a suck up but gee, who’s the one who brought candy for all the kids??

Steve and our weekend guest, Luta, left to go back to D.C. I could swear the car was riding a bit lower than usual. It must have been all the chocolate and cake we sent back with them. If all the seminarians in D.C. suddenly gain a bit of weight, you’ll know who is to blame.
